There are some cases or situations that someone wants to hide something such as from some objects like small jewelry, electronic applianes to her emotions like happiness, fun, sadness, frustration, etc. She tried to hide everything, but sometimes we feel or know that she is trying to hide something, and we can easily guess what she was trying to hide.

This is called "티가 나다" in Korean. 티 means attitude, 나다 means rise or show. 티가 나다 means " Seeing some odd attitude", or "it shows."

Examples

열심히 해 봤자 티도 안 나는데, 왜 그러는 거야?
It doesn't show even if you try that hard. Why do you work hard like that?

정말 좋아하면서 싫은 척 연기는. 좋은 티 다 난다!
Don't act like you hate it. We all know that you love it. It shows.

외국에서 살다 왔다는 이야기를 한 적은 없는데, 말하는 거나 행동하는 것을 보면 외국에서 살다 온 티가 나.
He didn't say that he lived abroad, but it is obvious that he did if we see his style of speaking and acting.
